I am a Physical Comic and Circus Artist.

I also spent one summer riding a motorcycle up a high wire but felt comedy was a bigger risk.

In elementary school, I served as the president of my fifth grade class until I was caught in a horrendous scandal involving a spelling bee, the full student body and the word "SH#T" uttered into a live microphone.

The resulting laughter that ensued ensured two things:

1. The nuns at my school still won't let me live it down

2. I rather have people laugh WITH me than AT me

So I defied the holy Chinese trinity of Doctor, Lawyer and Accountant and received my BFA (Bachelor of Funny Arts) at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College.

I subsequently became the first Chinese-American clown to work for a major American Circus.

I have spent over a decade traveling the world and performing a unique sense of contemporary clowning and physical comedy.

Since 2000, I have joined Bond Street Theatre in developing social circus programs in Afghanistan and Eastern Europe. We hope to establish a strong foundation where communication and respect go hand in hand with laughter and clowning.

Some memorable experiences include performing at a refugee camp in Kosovo under the watchful eyes of armed soldiers as well as seeing boys and girls join together in laughter as I perform one of my acts in Andkhoi, Aghanistan.

Hungry for more knowledge, I continued my training in acting, movement, circus, puppetry and acrobatics with master mimes Richmond Shepard and Robert Shields, T.Schreiber Studios, DAH Theatre of Serbia, and Theatre Tsvete of Bulgaria.

I am a creative consultant for film, television and stage with my production company, PunchMime Group, specializing in circus arts and visual comedy.

I create and peform Visual Comedy Shows
